Mr. Graven is of counsel and practices in the area of securities arbitration and investment law. Mr. Graven has been practicing law for over twenty-six years. He has represented hundreds of individual investors against their financial advisors in court, FINRA arbitration, and NASD arbitration. Mr. Graven has also been an arbitrator for NASD, NYSE, and FINRA since 2003. Mr. Graven has obtained monetary awards for investors by winning cases in arbitrations all over the country including Detroit, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Memphis, Little Rock, and Dallas.
James received his B.A. in Political Science in 1984 from Bowling Green State University. He went on to obtain his J.D. from The University of Toledo College of Law while also working full time as a professional firefighter for the City of Toledo. After law school, Mr. Graven continued to work as both a firefighter and attorney since 1990. He retired from the Toledo Fire Department in 2015 holding the rank of Lieutenant. Mr. Graven then moved his family to Cleveland and became of counsel with Peiffer Rosca Wolf Abdullah Carr & Kane in August of 2016.
